Ahh, yes. We have arrived in the small little Swiss town of Zermatt. We have been here for a week now, and have skied 3 days. Seems to be kinda classic here. We are always on weather HOLD. To acces the glacier skiing we need to go up 1 gondola and 2 trams. It takes about 45 minutes, but it has to be perfect weather for everythign to be open. Being high altitude mountain access, it is often too windy or foggy to run the last sketchy tram or we don't have good visibility on our course. It is funny to watch the holding pattern every morning as the teams race to be the first ones up on the mountain, then stand at the middle tram on hold for hours, only to get denied for the day and have to go back down.
When we do get to the glacier, the view is unbeatable. The snow is great, the course is great. if only we could have consistency... hopefully the weather stabilizes for us so that we can be productive here.
At least when we are not skiing we can enjoy this quaint little mountain town, complete with old farm houses and sheep! The true culture experience here.
