Home sweet Home

There is no better way to prepare for World Championships than to spend a little bit of time at my home mountain of Apex Resort on 'Kristi's Run'. Apex was willing to open the t-bar for me so that I could train on the mogul course mid-week and have very efficient, secluded, focused training. It is so nice to have the familiarity of the mountain, and the small town vibe up here. It has been warm and sunny all week as well, so it has made for some ideal training conditions. The course was built for a BC series competition last weekend, so my coach came in and spent a lot of time re-shaping the moguls and jumps to make it more realistic for World Cup standards. He might be the hardest working coach I have ever met; He is like a mini snow cat with the shovel! It has been a lot of fun to come out and be the only one on the run. It is so quiet and serene... the perfect environment to stay very focused in. It really is a world class training site for freestyle. Thank you to Apex for making our training camp a success, and setting me up for a great World Championships.
